Nicotine patches - Doesn't work and they're stupid
Nicotine gum - Doesn't work and they taste like shit
Solution:
Say you take around 40 cigarettes a week or maybe less, every week cut down on 2 cigarettes which makes it 38 cigarettes, keep cutting down until you reach 0, if this solution doesn't work then err well i have no idea how your gonna quit smoking, this solution does acually work since if you are smoking around 40 a week then suddenly just stop smoking straight away makes you want them more, causing you to have stress ( One guy on the news before wanted to quit smoking so he just stopped he did smoke around 70 cigarettes a week but then suddenly stopped, after a few days he couldn't handle the stress and killed himself ;s < True story ) , of course this solution may take longer but your still cutting down so your still smoking but not at a bigger amount and causing less stress, but eventually if you are desperate to quit you will go down to at least 5 cigarettes a week and eventually stop, since the body will start to get used to not having as much nicotine and then hopefully by then you would of quitted smoking for life.
I would like to say yes i did type that and didn't take if off a site either, this just took this from my friends solution on how he quitted, he even fought the *smoking disease* and beat it and then he was determained to stop smoking so this is how he eventually quitted smoking.
