Not particularly IMO. It's harder to see from the angle, but his back still looks fairly straight, and although it's always better to have a smooth lift from beginning to end, a lot of lifters will kinda hitch it up their legs at the final stage of a deadlift if the weight's at the very top of their range- I wouldn't call it bad technique when experts do it, though it's more impressive when they don't do it. An 18 year old lifting over 300kg is ridiculously impressive, and unless you're Ed Coan, the heavier lifts will never look as easy or look as good in form as the lighter lifts.

When I see people hitch the bar up at the end, I always think of Mariusz Pudzianowski:

I'm fairly sure they're against the rules in powerlifting meets, but they're allowed in Strongman. I'd definitely recommend against it though because it does increase the chance of an injury.

This is great technique though. Super heavy weight with no hitching.

Stick to learning and mastering your compound lifts like squats, deadlifts, bench press, and rows. Learn the form, lift correctly, lift often, and get your diet right.

Re: Weight-Lifting - Zezima - 02-12-2014

lol turning into a bodybuilding forum.
If u wanted advices u had to ask me im the biggest pro here and the only one who lifts.

If your a twig, keep with the dumbells, and bars for like few months. Do bodyweight exercises.

After 3 months of training, start doing squats, deadlift < those two are main and best exercises, and the hardest ones, thats why most people niglect them + you can fuck up ur back fast if ur doing shit form.

the most important thing

YOU WONT GET ANYWHERE IF U DONT EAT PROPERLY, IF U DONT EAT PROPERLY MIGHT AS WELL NOT TRAIN.

im the next Zyzz

no idea what about ur goals too

You want to look fat like cobra? Eat everything and everytime, in simple words: eat alot of calories.

Want to be like Zyzz and people bow down to you, envy you, girls want to suck ur dick anywhere anytime, you look like the god zeus him self?

Strict fucking diet, maintain ur carb intake you can actually gain muscle weight and stay lean if you just starting out to workout, just mainain ur calories.

Or if u want to be a bodybuilder: Eat alot of good calories and good fats, oats, rice, chicken breast ALOT OF VEGGIES, etc. Go above ur daily calorie meal, bulk up (eat alot of rice, you wont burn alot of carbohydrates and that will settle in ur body <all ower ur muscles> ). If you properly do it, you will mainly gain about 1kg  a week. After 3 months of bulking, you will gonna cut (do alot of cardio), you will lose all the unwanted fat that was stored by ur carbohydrates, you will mainain ur carb intake, and wola, you will become a fitness model.

Sleep,eat,train, REPEAT.

Do compound exercises, as a starter you should be doing the following exercises:

- squat
- bench
- dips
- pull up (focus on lats) / chin up (focus on biceps) but they both work the lats mostly
- push up (do them slow, u'll feel a nice stretch in the chest; put a backpack on with water bottles etc)

that's it

Re: Weight-Lifting - Shark - 02-13-2014

best you can do is go to a gym and ask for a workout plan based on your objectives, that way you're sure to get the correct order and exercises.

not saying everyone else in here is wrong, far from that, but someone who's just starting and sees these exercises is just gonna do them randomly and training different muscles in the same day which shouldn't be trained. if it was someone who had already gone to a gym and knew what he was doing then sure.

i'm a faggot.
