No, quarter mile is the best way to judge a cars performance. And we aren't talking about drag racing, but in drag racing, they match cars with likeness after doing single runs. Like say a Ferrari and a Porsche wanted to race, they would time each car first on their own, and depending on what time they get will decide if they can compete, if the Ferrari gets a 10 second QM and the Porsche comes in at 12 seconds, they wouldn't race.

Its the best way to determine a car's straight line performance, but it in no way will reflect the cars performance on a track.

I'm regretting not doing that with my mom's car, could've had a '06 330xi for the same price as a new Mazda 3.

Probably the private 500m2 underground parking lot got too packed with unique luxury cars so he needs to get rid of some.
