Nah the only metal stores I know of are in the city.

Yeah I brought patches off a site u recommended from america 
probs gonna look at expanding to gettin cd's from a few places online and record labels etc

I gotta give it, Blind Guardian is just supreme live. You can't miss it when you have the chance.
I'm looking around for some shows in good ol' Belgica but unfortunately, we do not have that many metal gigs. I can see Hammerfall somewhere in November but that's about it really. Iced Earth should be too but I've already seen them live. It has Alice Cooper though.. but who knows. This looks promising too though:

Yeah actually the Violinist/clean vocalist's sister's in the same course with me at uni.
He actually sets up a good portion of Melbourne's metal gigs and festivals, they're really good live and just recently released the cover art and track listenings for their new album (that has been delayed about half as long as Time).
By the way Blind Guardian were absolutely magical, singing along to tracks like Nightfall, Valhalla and The Bard's Song was one of my lifetime aspirations- I only wish I knew most of the lyrics to The Lord of the Rings.
