Re: Mark of LVP radio, get over here. - Jerome - 12-29-2014 By that image I assume you're trying to base your, (how shall we say, dislike?) of Opera on usage statistics? Opera isn't used by many people simply because others such as Chrome, have amassed a larger presence on the internet since they are a substantially bigger company. Though here's the thing, Opera almost matched Google Chromes benchmark results, which says a lot to me. Not to mention feature-wise Opera has everything Chrome does (and more), minus the Google integration (which is probably why so many people use Chrome). In a recent study (dated May 2014) conducted by a leading IT consultancy firm (PDF source) Google Chrome scored considerably lower in all but one benchmark tests for performance (CPU usage. RAM, power, etc.) and scored more than 20 points lower than Opera in the final results. ![]() So not only does Opera perform better than Google Chrome, but it matches it's capabilities and features and then adds more (Opera Turbo, etc.) Personally, I use Firefox, which performed better than both of the aforementioned browsers, in any light all 3 of the browsers mentioned here were outperformed by Microsofts very own Internet Explorer, which is why it is the second used browser in your statistics simply because it is shipped with every copy of Windows, though, unlike Chrome, Internet Explorer has very good data to back up it's performance claims. Re: Mark of LVP radio, get over here. - cake - 12-29-2014 its not like you're really going to feel the differences in daily usage maybe opera matching chrome benchmarks has to do with the fact that opera is based on chromium these days chromium? chrome? in the end its about small differences in UI, chrome is sexy as hell, firefox is weird, opera ugly etc Re: Mark of LVP radio, get over here. - HoogerBooger - 12-29-2014 People who argue over browsers - lol.
