The celebration commonly referred to as Easter, is the celebration of the Assyrian/Babylonian Goddess of Sex & Fertility, love and war, Ishtar (pronounced Easter). Hence the tradition of giving chocolate eggs and bunny rabbits. Instead of getting high I think I prefer celebrating sex :)

Being Christian by ceremony, I also have to say this is a celebration of Jesus' resurrection.
