Seeing both Wesley and Fireburn are on vacation and Matthias couldn't do anything due to PC problems, not that much has been done, but there's some small things.

Maybe a maximum ping to get connected help to get rid of the lags too.
It happens very often that I see players connected with > 500 ping. That is half a second !
