Re: Extreme Metal - Maddolis - 07-06-2013

Nice track.
Progenie Terrestre Pura's U.M.A would probably be my favourite of the year- though I've barely heard any.
I've heard Summoning's 2013 is very good.

Re: Extreme Metal - Maka - 07-06-2013

I must admit, I have never heard about the first band you mentioned. I'll check it out later today.
I haven't listened to Summoning's latest yet. I have the torrent ready, so I'll probably download it sometime as well.

Currently downloading that Progenie Terrestre Puga album, I'll have a listen later tonight. Excited for the next Fleshgod Apocalypse as well.

Re: Extreme Metal - Nater - 07-16-2013

Hell yeah Fleshgod are full of win, Need to take pic when I get home and upload I'm pumped

Re: Extreme Metal - Maddolis - 07-16-2013

I wasn't very impressed with that Fleshgod track.
It's way too heavy in orchestration. What I thought was lulsworthy was all the people ripping on Dimmu Borgir and talking Fleshgod up.
The saturation of orchestral elements is equal in both modern Fleshgod and Dimmu Borgir, only one of them is cool to hate though.
Early Fleshgod is awesome, early Dimmu is awesome.

Re: Extreme Metal - Nater - 07-16-2013

I personally love Dimmu and I think they kick ass both Black Metal era and later on Symphonic Black Metal era, and Fleshgod I rather enjoy also.

I never understood the hate around Dimmu Borgir, but then again, I don't really care nor listen to them. Every music genre has its elitists and its idiots, and in a lot of unfortunate cases, a mixture of both.
