I need help with a small computer question:P

well.. my xfire have stopped working, and I have tried every tip in the xfire forums.. so it must be something else.. and now I found this program on my computer " nProtect GameMon Rev 1152 " I cant access it and I cant do anything with it.. So I searched it up on google and found out that the program tries to stop things that the program dont trust... And maybe its this program that is blocking my Xfire?
So here is the questions:
1. What is this program? and why is it on my computer?
2. If this program is blocking my Xfire, how do I fix it.
3. I cant find the program on my computer anywher else than at the right down corner, where the clock is. and I cant click on it, how do I remove it?:)

I would be glad to hear from som1 about this:)

nProtect is an anti-cheat thing built in for free japanese MMORPG games like Maple Story and Gunbound. You probably have/had one of these types of games installed before that uses nProtect. Why its blocking xfire, i have no idea.

nvm, GameGuard is the anti-cheat program :P

Quote:However, its convention use lies between popular MMORPGs such as Gunbound, MapleStory, Raikon, Gunz, and etc... It utilizes a form of coding that forces the client of a machine to constantly update revisions from GameGuard. This is to prevent hackers from accessing memory and essentially breaking into a game that it is supposed to protect.

nProtect is installed as a part of Maple Story, so to run Maple Story you need nProtect.
