Borat, you've been watching too many movies. You cannot just say something to the effect of "Asteroid? Bring it on! Let's just shoot it with a nuke and Bob's your uncle we're saved. I R 1337 human!". The reason for that is because it could make things worse, depending on what the asteroid is made from, including the possbility of global radiation poisoning after impact.

aha good point. All I am saying is we can stop this asteroid heading its way to the Earth. Not by destroying it, maybe by changing its direction without harming it. There are Hundreds of solutions to prevent this disaster happening.
