[tr][td]Introduction:[/td][td]I started playing SA-MP when I heard a friend in my class talk about it, he told me where to download it and I did. He showed me an official server, Dallas, which is gone now. It was fun but the players were like 100 times better then I was. He was a regular player there so he could hit me up with some cash. He showed me around what to do there but it got boring kinda fast. I stopped playing there after about 3 weeks. I got a bit better at shooting but wasn't much of a fighter. I went to the internet-tab and sorted it on the number of players. That's how I found LVP, it looked promising and I registered. I played there quite anonymous for a while and got better at fighting again, an acceptable skill-level. The B&A gang was the strongest gang back then imo. I asked one of them if I could join, I believe it was BassiedeClown. He said that the gang had enough members but I would be on top of his list when they started recruiting again. I decided to wait but it took quite long. Then, a new gang arised, OnB. I asked it's leader, Pancakeman, if I could join. We did some fights and I got accepted. After being in it for quite some time I gained a bit of reputation on the server, not very much but a bit. The OnB gang was allied with B&A which I tried joining before. I had a good time being in it. Then Borat wasn't trusted anymore as co-leader of the gang or something(I don't remember exactly) and Pancakeman announced in our sub-forum that there was going to be a new co-leader. After a week or so it turned out that he thought I was the best choice. I was very pleased with it. A small 2 months later Pancakeman had to go inactive due to his work. I had the control over the gang until he was back. He didn't come back, he came online every once in a while but not enough to lead. He still was leader/founder of course. I had to lead the gang on my own but as it was growing I asked the most active player in the gang, YeraY, to help me. I had temporary leadership and he was co-leader. Both until Pancakeman returned. As most of you might know, he still isn't back. Around that time CT was getting more inactive and B&A/\OnB had not much to do. YeraY(OnB),Turkey(B&A),rcp(OnB) and myself(OnB) got so bored we decided to make a clan. We started of with several members when we launched it(we already recruited a few people before actually starting it). But there, we made a terrible mistake. We didn't tell the leaders of B&A, RSole and Buhu, about our plans. They were absolutely not amused by what we did and they broke up our alliance(B&A-OnB). At first I didn't see the problem as we made a clan, not a gang. Later I realized that it was wrong.. we had an alliance, we trusted each other, we had each others back, we stabbed their back. There were a lot of flamewars in the gangtopics of B&A/BB. Right now, that part is behind us, we are not allies anymore but we at least go along better then we did in the topics/ingame. It still isn't great always but better.
Due to this gang stuff all above I totally forgot about my mod/admin stuff. Here goes:
It was vacation, summer, and I had a lot of time to play, which I did. I played so much with good behavior that I got tempmodded several times. After a while I almost got tempmod from an admin on join. I thought they were testing me to maybe become a full mod. On a shiny August day Peter asked me, on IRC, if I wanted to become mod. His exact words were(Dutch): 'estroe' 'jij modje willen worden?' The estroe and the other part were on seperate lines. I said yes and Peter made me mod. It was kinda late already(around 03:30) and I went to bed, pleased, very pleased. After about 1.5 months the management decided to make some changes, one of them was to make all current mods, admins. Which I still am right now. I'm still enjoying LVP but I do notice myself getting bored quicker. Good thing, I have exams next week so I'll be kind of inactive. Meaning I won't play much or maybe not at all. Due to that my interest will rise as I have a small break.
