Wanted: Developers
#1
Good evening,

For a new Las Venturas Playground related project we're searching for a number of new developers. We won't reveal much information about it at this point, however, anyone interested in joining the Las Venturas Playground team will get informed immediatly, and will get a say in the project as well. We're searching for both experienced developers as for people with a real motivation to learn - experts will be available within the project.

Requirements
- Good knowledge of the LUA language or a good motivation to learn it
- A view, opinion and enough fantasy to bring in ideas yourself, as well as the ability to accept that your idea will not be implemented.
- Having a fair amount of time available.

You will get VIP-rights directly after being accepted in the team, and rewards equal to donating-people when you've added sufficient code to the project. It will be programmed in LUA, no knowledge of any other language is required. Applications may be sent to code @ sa-mp.nl.

This topic is purely for questions, applications in this topic will be IGNORED.

A good motivation to learn it, eh?

If you have any programming background, yes.

I would be delighted to help the development team.

My skills at LAU language is minimal however and to be honest, i have never scripted before. I am however willing to put in the time and effort to to learn it. Im just finishing my exams next week and have a good three or four months before i have to start worrying about my standard grades. If there is any current developers who wouldnt mind teaching me the basics to start with, i would spend as much time that is needed.
Im also currently doing ICTat school. Which is basically computing. We have been doing programming and this would be a great chance to expand my knowledge of this sort of thing and could help me alot in later life.

questions

-Will there be any specific times that we will need to be scripting? (i.e. is there a sort of timetable?)
-What do the admins get instead of the normal players becoming VIP's? :+
A pat on the back no doubt :+

You don't need any background in programming either, however, you'll have to motivate in your e-mail why you want to help and what you are willing to do in order to learn the language (e.g. reading boring manuals, buying a book if you really have troubles and are willing to search on the internet, as well as in sources we list). We're fine with helping you with whatever you have problems with, as multiple members in the team already are experienced with the language.

Formally applying while you're naked and wet is very reputable :+
