No, Unix OS' are like the geniuses that are outcast by all the cool people but end up being their boss ~.^

But it dont end up being anyone's boss. Unix is not capable of being anyone's boss. Its more like the hobo on the street willing to do it for free.

Unix OSs are like charity workers -- they do a lot, and they do it free, however they are not given the credit they deserve.

Server == computer boss (LVL 99, i believe), Linux==waaaaaay more widely used than any other server OS.

Only coz its free. You cannot expect schools and such organisation to dish out 100s of dollors for XP.

XP > Linux/Mac/any-non-xp OS

XP > Linux/Mac/any-non-xp OS
*cough*LAMP*cough*Widely used configuration for businesses*cough*

*cough*science*cough*

*cough*government*cough*

But that also brings a good point, organizations usually seek for what brings the biggest bang for their buck. Apparently Linux brings these organizations an incredible bang for their buck because they make it the most widely used . . . :D

The 'biggest bang for the buk' applies to things which cost money. Linux is free. Like i said, the only reason all these agencies use linux is because they are strap for cash. Linux is a poor man's OS. Even then it is simply at the mercy of the fair trading laws. If it wasnt for these laws, MS would probably bring out their own free OS. Linus and such OS are like the last resort. No one really wants them unless they simply have no other choice, because they have no money.

I dont know whether to lawl or weep uncontrollably . . . My only consolation is that you aren't an IT guy or an economist, apparently . . . else I would weep and stay away from corporate sponsored UAE, lmfao. :P

Edit: Also, Microsoft uses Linux, would hardly call them strapped for cash . . . http://www.crn.com/software/18839747
