Well, most of our admins / management are Dutch, and, don't ask me why as I don't actually now, it is quite offensive here(I'm Dutch too).
I think it has to do with the fact that the word in the Netherlands (kanker) is easy to form other words with it, bad words. So, you can kinda make pretty bad words with it.

Jokes about killing illness like cancer is just unsensitive, especially on a public forum. What if someone here just lost a relative in cancer? Really, you should think before posting.
