Exactly, the PCI-E models for ATI started with the X300 and that series, hence the X in the name :P

Get ready to be blown away:
Make/Model: Dell Inspiron 8200
OS: Windows XP Home Edition 32-bit
CPU: Intel Pentium 4M x86 @ 1.70Ghz
RAM: 384MB (x1 128MB, x1 256MB)
Video Card: NVIDIA 64MB GeForce4 440 Go
Sound Card: No idea some integrated crystal something, idk it works.
HDD: 5400RPM 40GB

Phew, that was pretty intense. Wow, i need a brake...  (:r)

In all seriousness though does anyone think it would be worth spending say $125 for a bigger HDD and more RAM, or just plain getting a new one? See my thought process is that i can save up a tad more to get something even better next year, and just use this for another year, or i could get a new one now with what i have and risk some new crazy advancement in computers a year from now... Any ideas? :?

There can never be an affordable advancement greater then going from your present computer to a new one now. Yes the present computers may get a bit cheaper, as with all technology. Now would be a good time to buy, memory is cheap, a dual core or even a quad core is actually affordable. And once you have a new rig it meets all the present standards again so next time you need a faster pc you can just upgrade.
Of course it all depends on how much you use your computer and if you play alot of games or other high demanding applications.

I totally agree. I absolutely could not believe how cheap the computers were when i was looking at them from Dell the other day. Especially their new XPS they just came out with. Absolutely amazing. But anyways i will definitely think about getting one in the near future. What i really want though is a Laptop versus a desktop since i will be going away to college soon and I would like something a bit more mobile. It does seem though that the more higher-end laptops are a bit pricey as of yet so i may decide to just wait. But thanks for the opinion though! :)
