The best format indeed, even better than original .wav imo, although it depends a lot on the mastering as well. Flawless sound experience.

Sennheiser ftw, although I just use some Koss headphones-- good sound and relatively cheap :)

Sennheisers have only one negative aspect, they aren't very flexible and dj-friendly, but definitely a best pick if you are into sound engineering and producing.
