We had a number of discussions about changing the in-game economy already, and I'm finally ready to pull the switch.
The goal is two-fold: - Make pricing on the server consistent. Some of our minigames cost $25 to participate in, some $25000.
- Make pricing on the server reasonable. Because of the ludicrous numbers, purchasing something simple sometimes costs incredible amounts of money. (Like that $1,000 bouquet of flowers Ammunation sells you.)
This also causes there to be a limit of 2 billion dollars in your bank account— it would be difficult to change Pawn to be able to deal with larger values. This becomes much less of an issue it all monetary values are lower!
Therefore I've made two changes:
- All your bank account values will be divided by 20.
- New prices and prizes for everything will be introduced soon.
Your input on the new pricing will be highly appreciated! Having a saner economy will allow us to introduce houses, or clever property pricing .

How much is the banking limit right now (after dividing it by 20)? Will it change or we have to win money again?

In my opinion,whatever the changes are,it shouldn't make earning money feel like a chore.That means a player shouldn't feel they are forced to earn money through activities which they are not interested to perform,since most of them are lazy thesedays.I know you may ask,"don't they buy properties and such now?" Let me explain it below.
I believe most of us are aware of Littlewhitey's strict economy.You can't survive without earning money there since prices are high and there aren't much activities to be done.Recently,they made the economy stricter than before,which caused a significant loss of playercount.It happened because of the following reasons:
- Prices were too high that the amount of money you earn will be spend for weapons and such soon.
- Limited storage provided by Player/Gang bank account.
- Most importantly many people/mostly dmers like me were left without a choice.That is,the ways to earn money was through buying properties,killing other players with money,trucking and by racing.This didn't workout well because:
-Killing other players for money was almost impossible since nobody dared to go out with cash when there are other players around.
-Trucking was slow and boring plus reward wasn't enough.
-Some people weren't interested or good enough to participate or win races.
-Couldn't buy properties because of lack of capital or some simply couldn't go afk for too long.
So the players who didn't have much oppertunities to earn money simply got bored and left,especially when it became a 'must do chore'.Lack of oppertunities and the feeling that they are being forced to do it made them leave.So what I am saying is,don't make our economy too strict.If you ask how is our current economy,I would say too easy to earn money.We should change that ofcourse,but at the sametime don't go too far either.If we are going to restrict the amount of money earned by players,then provide a variety of oppertunities for them to earn.For example,DM events which will give a good amount of money,races and other minigames for free roamers and such.In my opinion,we should increase the money we get from winning minigames and such,then decrease the money you can earn through properties.Also houses should cost a lot.Players shouldn't buy and sell many houses in a row.
Also,everything I said above is purely my opinion so feel free to agree or disagree.I would like to see some regulars opinions regarding how they feel about earning money in here and how far they can tolerate restrictions in it.
tldr: Don't make it too hard to earn money,reduce prop income and increase minigame reward.

2 billion. It won't change, but we might decrease the value of it over time.

I fully agree with you! The goal is to move the economy to saner, more understandable and expectable values, not to make it harder to earn money. At the same time, certain things such as houses should remain limited to the more frequent players.

This is fantastic empirical evidence! Thank you so much for sharing your insights.
We have a somewhat unique challenge in providing a base for DMers, while also providing a base for freeroamers. It sounds to me like we want to err towards making it too easy to earn money, which I can fully support.
Nonetheless, normalizing the numbers shouldn't impact this, don't you think?

I most certainly agree.
Specific to your point about housing, it indeed needs to be exclusive enough to be a goal, while achievable enough to be entertaining.

Your opinion is most valid, please share it more often .

Normalizing the numbers won't be an issue in my opinion,as long as we can keep the economy stable and player friendly.
As for the insights,happy to know it helps.

Together with Joe, we've made another round of changes:
This means that while the numbers are lower, you can actually do more with your money than you can today. In addition, we're also looking at property pricing. It makes sense for these to go down, but we're playing a bit with by how much they change.
If you have a moment, could you please spend some time on the staging server (play.sa-mp.nl:7778) to try them out?

Very Nice
Spawn Armour ======> 10000 $
Sniper Refil ( spawn ) =======> 50 rounds
I Hope this will be merged to Main Server
