they all played in lw and online joined in lvp newfags
guys just back it and i will tell them to back
also i will back MwK in lvp also r2d
JOKERS guys they's clans miss lagshot why u dont make it ?

The reason for this was simply because player count was minimal, and experimenting is something we were keen to try. I can say, first hand, that, prior to this adjustment, I saw many players join the server, complain that lagcomp was off, and leave. I do, however, understand that they may be the newer generation of players and not the older players who are used to playing with skinhit rather than lagshoot.
It seems a little too convenient that just after we enable lagcomp, this thread appears -- why weren't the aforementioned people playing on LVP prior to the adjustment being made?
If I were in control of development, I would be keen to play along and change it back (i.e. disable lagcomp) just for a week or two to see if your words come to reality (or the LVP server, should I say) however, I'm not sure that will be the case.
Furthermore, I know you expressed interest in LVP reverting to an older version of SA:MP (i.e. 0.3x) but that's very unlikely. That's essentially like shifting from Windows 8, to Windows XP - you're open to security flaws (of which there are many in previous versions of SA:MP), there's improved stability and bug fixes and so on. It would also involve lots of backend changes as a portion of LVP's functions are built around 0.3.7.
Lagcomp, may be adjusted.
SA:MP version, very unlikely to be adjusted.

I talked about this today with a few people and I think lagshot is pretty much better than lagcomp or direct aim or whatever, killing in direct aim is so easy but in lead aim is more fun

During ages lagshot became a part of SA:MP,and that's the way it should be I think.Why would we change something now,when(if u agree) DM is slowly dying,I could never figure that out.
For good players,samp veterans,there isn't anything left to do in this game,and the only thing that makes difference between them,and newer samp players,is their skill,how they play the game.
Skills in driving,stunting,the most important part,shooting;Those things can't be learned over night,it takes many years of playing,the most important,experience.How many years it takes untill
u get to the top level in dueling with RWs either WWs,and now u r nullifying all that work with accepting skinhit.
Imagine if something like this happened to the other games like wow,or dota,simplifying the game that much that even some random guy who joined that game a week ago,after few days of practice can beat u easily.Players would be pissed off im sure,many of them would even quit the game I can guarantee that(cos that's exactly what I did after the new client came out).
We all see DM is becoming less popular by every day,there are many new games and even those players who can't afford new PC,one day after they make it,they'll say goodbye to samp.
I see there's a new server,that uses lagshot,I won't mention it's name here but I've played there for a while and it's always full of players,at evenings 99/99 players online.Over 15 LVP players are playing there yh,so what's the reason they can't stay here?This server still has better cmds than many servers,the most important thing,it has a great history,some of the top samp clans are coming from here,also,we have the crew,every day long i see admins online and they're doing their job.So,there is a will fo something to be done,It's enough to get back a couple of ppl and players would go after them as it always happens.
U know what,just get the lagshooting back and let it be the latest try to make this server alive,and full of fun as it used to be,since time.

Honestly speaking, I don't think lagshoot is the biggest problem, or even one of them. LVP has been practically dead (peaking at 5-10 players) for many months, and lagcomp was Off during that time (and of course, it's now On). LVP has been having some good days recently, and I'm assuming that's because of summer break / holidays. Today player count peaked at 25-30 for an hour or so and this has been happening on a daily basis over the past 2-3 weeks. It doesn't say in that range for long, and perhaps we need to find out why that is. If we could find a solid reason why each player left, we could take action and have a thriving community right now, but sadly, that's not likely to happen.

I personally like lagcomp, however it seems to still not fully work on big laggers..
The reason I personally dislike lagshoot (as a 20ping player) is because it gives high pingers a big advantage.
My hitbox will always be exactly at the skin, where I have to search the higher pingers hitbox, and track his movements..

Right,Holsje.My ping's also very low,50-60 and my hb aint hard tho.But if this is gonna bring some players back and help the server I support the idea of laghooting.

If it would benefit the server indeed it would be better.
But we noticed even less players at the time it was enabled than we have right now, and most of the actual playing players wanting lagcomp enabled.
If facebook's claims can come true we could give it a trial like Granny said previously, however at the last test it did not seem to work.

I think that we all have to push hard if we want to get playas back,starting from our own clan mates.
