Them silly Americans. It's still VERY hard for Portugal to pass anyway, and it'd be pointles since I don't think they'd survive eighth finals. Sucks for USA, they were already qualified, but a very naïve mistake put them on the loose rope now. Ghana could steal that chance from them, and I really doubt USA will be able to beat Germany.

If we're going to talk about who deserves passing more I'd say Ghana no doubt. What they showed yesterday was sooo different from their failed debut. Despite not having many talented players, they are a very committed, fast and tireless team that could scare any team's defense, as they did yesterday by cracking Germany's flawed defense several times. USA also played good today but to me they're just meh.
