All smartphones suck. You have to charge them practically every night if you intend to actually use them :X

Every smartphone is not like that, takes a couple of days if you have a solid OS and some reasonable settings.

I currently have the HTC sensation xe (on contract) and I'm pretty happy with it, it has everything I need from a phone in terms of music, internet and, well, being a phone. My only gripe is with the player as you either HAVE to have Beats audio on or the phone's own EQ, both of which provide artificial bass boosts.

It's around £350 -400 in UK but, as we always get ripped off over here, I imagine you can get it within your budget on the mainland.

Well if you manage it well you should be able to get 2 days out of it but I only use it for music and light internet usage.

I didnt get it for the beats as I use my own heaphones with it (see headphone thread) and the beats software just adds extra bass much like the headphones from what I hear.
