Its just because of the stereotypes. Its much easier for an audience to believe someone is arabic when the actor is wearing a rope then one in an armani suit and sunglasses.

If I imagine an american biker person I think of someone wearing a leather jacket, jeans, army type helmet and a off course a handlebar moustache. That doesn't mean they all look that way.

Don't look for conspiracies. It's just that most movies and series are mostlywritten by like 5 people and the sophistication in the story is limited by their narrow view of the world.

But most of Hollywood movies (if not all) that involved Arab appearances shows Arabs in a bad way, making them sexists bloodthirsty and dumb since the 60's... that's a whole a lot than just 5 people.
