I remember a few years ago an Australian comedian (Adam Hills) was joking with other comedians (English, one Irish and a Scot) saying "Why don't we talk about medals? Or is that just an Australian thing?", and later on that show on "Unlikely things a sports commentator would say", he said "And England have won the ashes". The year that episode happened England won the ashes against Australia.

I don't give a crap about cricket though but I found it funny when England won the year he was boasting.

There is one cricket team I have a slight interest in though. Last year I heard of this team called Compton Cricket Club. I just found it funny.

in india Hockey is The national game(which ofc i dont follow)
Cricket is More famous which i really dont know why(dont care either)
and as far as soccer is concerned i dont really Like watching it. But i sure do love playing it <3

oh u're probably talking about field hockey which is completely different than icehockey which I'm talking about.
Cricket seems to be a so called "local sport" which is popular only in few countries like India and Australia for example.
