I've had the timeline for a couple months (about a week after you were first able to enable it) and I don't have anything to hide so I don't mind it too much. It just ruins the layout for me. And possibly the most annoying part is the inevitable complaints that'll come in February when it's forced on everyone. And Facebook never go back on a change they make no matter how bad or unpopular it is.
