Why was this removed? I enjoyed it and it's been a VIP feature for a long time, and I assume still listed as one on sa-mp.nl.

Edit: Yes, it's still listed as an in-game extra for donors. It would be nice for it to be included again.

We removed it because it was unused. Calculating every players speed every .5 seconds could be quite inefficient if we had over 50 players.
2.94 has been released for quite a while and yet its taken this long for anyone to notice. On that basis we don't intend on re-adding it (Sorry )

I don't think there have been 50 VIP's ingame at the same time. Calculating everyone's speed and just show the VIP's what that speed actually is sound inefficient indeed.

Does this mean that the speed achievements are also blocked? The ones you needed for the carbomb.

I read a report some months ago,it was something that it gives advantages/disadvantages when fighting,don't remember well if this was the problem!

The system calculated every players speed, regardless of what they where doing. It was to check for speed bonuses and speed hacking (which was inaccurate).
Indeed, the achievements have been removed.

Beaner: /my fps was calculated server side using a bug. This was incredibly inefficient. SA-MP does not support client sided features like this.
I'm not sure who wrote the /my fps command but I know that had I'd of been around and in charge at the time it would never have been done.
