Maddolis is correct, was the people that made it fun not the gamemode itself, If you don't like the gang territory thing don't use it? Just go prop whore etc.

It always bugs me that people get so high and mighty coz they've played a game for longer, people can only refer to the "old" game mode relative to when they started playing it. It's like me saying the majority of people here are younger than me so they can't listen to or have an opinion on Prince or the other great music of the 80's.

As it goes the old game mode will always seem better as that's what nostalgia does to you, you also have the added fact that everything is new and exciting to you and there's so much to discover.

Some things I miss...

- Old properties: "Oh my god! Everyone knows them lets change it quick!" wasn't exactly the best reaction.
- Old gang system: It was simple I must agree, but the new one is not even used from what I've seen, gangs attack territories while rival gangs are offline. The old system it was more or less pile up with your friends for that gaming session, get a color, screw the territories, no admin approval. People did "abuse" it to have their own color, but there's ways to compensate that.
- High speed bonus: Seriously, fix it.

However it's needless to say, the "new" LVP has not butchered the old features, maybe a few (as I stated above), but it's mainly the same concept.

PS: This topic is fucking pathetic.

And if you had enough of the actual version, then be aware that the next one is going to bring a lot of changes!

That reminds me of the days when I was waiting for MTA DM to come out. Waiting about 3 years, getting invited to help the QA Team with testing towards the later stages only for them to release a "small" version with limited features (and no map editor). Luckily I was in the testing, most people had to wait even longer than I did.

It's like people who say you aren't a true fan of a football team because it's not your local club or you don't go to the games. Fortunately I would fit in their "true fan" category and I do go to some games, but others who contribute even more than I do through buying merchandise are considered fake fans...even when they express more love than the "true fans".
