I am also a huge fan of dystopian and post-apocalyptic themed stuff.

I would highly recommend Akira if you don't have anything against Japanimation. Everything from the soundtrack to the artwork and the all important plot itself is masterpiece material.

I would recommend the infinitely superior manga which the animation was adapted from, but you asked for movies
