I've found myself addicted to post apocalyptic and dystopian films and books. I've watched a few, but was wondering if anyone could recommend some good ones?
Among those I've seen, and which I recommend are:
Logan's Run, Babylon A.D, Death Race, I Am Legend, Banlieu 13, Repo Men, District 9, Book of Eli & The Matrix (series)
Would love to hear about some dystopian/post apocalyptic games too, like Mirrors Edge, Half Life and Fallout.

Book of Eli was just epicly awesome, wow. Might see it again
Ow yea, I got a series tho.. (fucking awesome), The Walking Dead. Only 6 episodes so far, because they didnt know if the audience would like it, but more episodes are being produced as we speak.
You must watch these.

Post-Apocalyptic:
-Carriers
-Legion
-28 Days/Weeks Later
-Dawn of the Dead
-Reign of Fire (was alright if you like dragons)
-also all of the Resident Evil movies
as for dystopian movies:
-Equilibrium
-wouldn't A Clockwork Orange count as one as well
-Doomsday
-V For Vendetta
-Gattaca
-Children of Men
well here's a list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dystopian_films

Oh yeah great idea for a topic, I gotta check this out for some fresh ideas.
Blade Runner would be the first that comes to mind, Star Wars also qualifies (though it's set in the past, it's futuristic). I love the whole dystopian/cyberpunk theme.
I suppose Final Fantasy VII would be a good example of a dystopian futuristic game.

"The Road" was quite eerie.
The Road - Official Trailer [HD]
Trailer is a bit too over the top, it's not an action film really as they make it look like in the trailer.

Yeah, Resident Evil films were OK, as was Reign of Fire. Dawn of the Dead's that Romero film right? Or do you mean the remake with Ving Rhames? Haven't seen it, will check it out though.
@Dystopian movies, I think I've got Doomsday somewhere, haven't watched it though. I've heard of V for Vendetta and Children of Men, and I'll check out Equilibrium.

I watched Blade Runner when I was like 7 and didn't enjoy it. I guess that's because I was 7. We've got it on VCR, might watch it again some time.
Also, not really into the whole anime RPG style games.
And who hasn't seen Star Wars?

honestly either one is good, pretty much any movie I've seen by Romero was good, but that's just because I love zombie movies, which any zombie movie is pretty much considered a post-apocalyptic movie so...

Zombieland was fantastic. Check out Shaun Of The Dead too.
Doghouse is supposed to be pretty funny...
As for The Walking Dead, amazing series. Can't wait for October.
