When did you found SA-MP?

i was playing MTA Race at that time and some guy joined the server where i was playing and started spamming the chat with something like: "SA-MP HAS BEEN RELEASED!" so i went to Google 'sa-mp' and thats how i found it.

I was waiting for MTA to get released, at the same time I searched for other Multiplayer mods for San Andreas and that's when I found SA-MP.
This was somewhere in 2006, don't know when it exactly was.

I think he meant he was waiting for MTA DM, and found SA-MP. He might have been on Rumble or MTA Race but waited for MTA DM.
