If you join the beta server, it's quite clear that stunt promotion as gone insane in the next version, but people who DM are going to go as far as they can with bashing on the new stunt world (yeah, well expected.)
I personally think we're going to need a few new ideas with new mini games, from sniping across roof tops to WW, RW, and miniguns, if you have an idea, please post it!

1. In my opinion the current /rwtw location is ok, but there could be more.
I also think we should have more /wwtw areas. It should be at a bigger area, like at the /sniper area or even we could map some new locations. It should have a similar system to the /rwtw one: the winner team could be the first one that reaches 'X' kills.
2. We all already saw people in the mainchat saying "fc any1?", well there could be a random fight invitation.
You would type only /fight or /fc or /dm ... a familiar and easy command to remember and then it would show something like:
"It looks like someone wants to fight, type 'again_an_easy_command_here' to accept."
or
"eF.Pedro is ready to fight, type 'again_an_easy_command_here' to fight him!"
I think the first example would be cooler since the challenger doesn't know at all who's going to accept and the person that is going to accept doesn't know who actually made the invitation, so it makes the thingy more interesting. PartyServer has something similar to the second example.
3. When someone kills someone it could show a fast message like: "Nice one!", "You got him!", "Well done!", "keep it like that!"... well surely you have a better imagination than me. It would be mainly to incentivize new players to fight more.
4. When someone dies, his/her money and weapons could stay at that place, like in the singleplayer mode. (I think Jay was planning to do it some weeks ago, I don't know if he still wants to do it, but I'm just remembering.)

Maybe make a sniping minigame, but instead of taking 5 or how ever many shots to kill make it one shot kill.. so u start with like 50hp or w.e
I also like pedros 2nd idea, very nice and 1st one is also nice.. could be like /rwtw [location] [kill limit] or something like that

I like Pedro's 2nd idea, I've made a ticket about it.

I recommend CTF (capture the flag) for it.

While I, thiaZ, iou, and Matthias ( Noobs at the end ) were testing /rwtw, it was total fun, but something came up to my mind which can make it even more fun. Some players certainly wouldn't like to fight their clan-mates they would prefer to be on their clan mates side, so my point is that we can start a RWTW using /RWTW ( first to 'x' kills ) ( Team 1 < insert team name here > ) ( Team 2 < insert team name here >
Example:
/rwtw 10 1 the outlaws 2 noobs Matthias
That's not all folks, and a command to check which teams are available, for example /rwteams > 1 - The outlaws 2 - Noobs Matthias
I might have not been so descriptive as I'm in a little rush now, but I guess that you will understand it, if you don't understand ask me in a reply to make myself more clear and I will modify / reply back with more descriptive explanation
If this gets implemented it will make the server even more active, as it can be used for mini clan wars, or for events such as Bloodz vs Cripz and many other stuff
Waiting for some feedback ! (12-20-2010, 11:13 AM)Pedro link Wrote: Well, I'ld leave /rwtw as it is right now, but that's a good idea though.
I'ld prefer if it was at the gang base.
There could be also a bet between the gangs:
/ganginvite [id of the gang you want to invite] [ww/rw] [number of rounds] [amount of money].
The money would be transferred automatically from one gang bank to another gang bank.
To avoid negative amount bugs, it should also verify if both gangs have enough money according to the bet that was suggested. I don't know what you think about it, but I really like the idea. Anyway it might not be a priority right now since it would be used mainly by the regular players.
Edit:
Jay told us in beta test server that there would be added new DM minigames: minigames in mapped areas like florests and some cool places.
One of the LVP /minigames' problems (comparing with other servers like GamerX, PartyServer, Impulse) is that people type a command: /wwtw, /rwtw, /minigun... but:
-There aren't so many people joining to make it fun enough.
-You need to wait too much until you actually join the minigame. Yes, 20 seconds is too much. New people want instantanly things, like typing a command in a second and be at the minigame at the other second.
I have some more suggestions how the new DM minigames could work:
-There would be a mapped area (as was said before).
-You'ld be teleported for it with an easy command like: '/Dm'. (If you're plainning to add more than one minigame like this, the next commands would logically be '/Dm1', '/Dm2'...
-There would be 2 teams. - You wouldn't be able to choose the team, it would be randomly spawned.
- When you join it, your skin would be changed according to the team you were spawned at.
-When you die you'ld automatically leave the area and spawn at the 'normal' LVP. As long as you spawn at LVP you'ld be able to teleport yourself again to the 'minigame'.
-The 'minigame' would never end. It would be kinda 'inactive' when no one's there so basically it is always running.
There's a problem: the minigames' stats says how many times you have won a minigame and here actually there's no way to win: you just have to kill and try to survive as much as you can. When you die you could earn something like $10.000 per kill you had done.
So keep the current minigames' stats as it is and the next DM minigames, like this one, could have a specific information in /my stats. Something like: "In 'this_minigame_needs_an_awesome_name_something_that_attracts_people_attention' you've killed 'X' times and died 'Y' times.
It looks like a noobish minigame, because apparently there are no goals. It's like: "Kill and DON'T die!" Anyways I believe this kind of DM minigames can reach a nice amount of people. Amount enough to make it fun.
Rest of the minigames:
I.e. when you type /race12 it could show on the screen: "Joining in 'here_put_a_countdown_according to the time left until the minigame starts' seconds".

Keep ideas coming!
As for my contribution in this topic I've thought of a sniper mini game based off what BDG said, pretty much a "huge" rather large forest, everyone has low HP and snipers, I'll be posting the map later @ mapping forum for the mappers who are interested in a little preview.

I have 2 suggestion for DM minigames:
First one:
- Ww are needed
- It would be 5 minutes
- All vs all
- The players should have like 2 hp or something to be killed faster
- You wouldn't be noticed on the radar, but you would be able to see the tag of your opponent only when you're near him
- In the end of the 5 minutes, the player with a better ratio wins
Second one, it's similar to the /random one, but you would have to look for the weapons around the map and it should be in a cooler zone:
- Player starts with full health
- You would start the game with a simple deagle
- Pickups, armour, miniguns, rocket launcher, grenades, molotov cocktail, remote explosives, flame thrower (and if the the top of the map is covered, Jetpack) would be hidden around the map
- It would be 5 minutes too
- The player with a better ratio in the end of the minigame would be the winner
The reason why I'm suggestion this kind of minigames which after dieing, the player keeps playing and only after 5 minutes the one with a better ratio wins, is to: - Maintain all the players active
- Give them a chance. What mostly happens on new players is: on one second they're joining the minigame, on the other second they're already dead and probably they didn't even understand the point of it
- Not to have a boring end as happens in the /minigun minigame - there are 2 people lost in the middle of the map and it takes ages until one of them finds his/her opponent (So perhaps it would be cool if you change the /minigun minigame as well)
To finish, I think San Andreas map has loads of cool zones which would perfectly fit for these minigames, but yeah if you want a custom map, I'm whiling to do it.
Edit:
It would be cool if you add a 'Call of duty' and 'Counter strike' minigame. It would be a ww minigame, 2 teams, and could have a similar system to the both suggestions that I made above: 5 minutes, the team with more kills/better ratio, wins. Since it is supposed to pretend you're playing in 'Call of duty' and 'Counter strike' ambient the areas should definitely be mapped with some obstacles, barrels, trees, etc...
About the locations, once again, it could be in an empty area which would be completely mapped or we could use some forests/cities from the original San Andreas map and just add some objects to make it look like Cod and Cs. (There are some locations that iou added to duel system as FCs which could be used for these minigames as well)
Edit number 2:
I just thought about a new DM minigame, this one isn’t exactly a minigame because it should happen in the main world. It's similar to the terrorist one, but there will be only one person trying to kill the target.
So, there would be a bot somewhere, perhaps on the ship. When you stand near of the bot, it would ask you: “I need you to kill a guy. I give you $500.000 if you kill him/her. Are you able to do it?”, it should show a table, then you would be able to 'Accept' or 'Decline' and if you accept, a random person in the game would be chosen. You would have like 10 minutes to kill that person.
The person who's chasing would see everyone on the radar white, except the target, that as happens in the 'Kill_the_terrorist' system, he would be red.
You wouldn't be able to use any kind of chat (except the admin chat) before complete the 'mission'. it's mainly to avoid situations like: "let me kill you plz, I need monies ". If you try to use the main chat, it would say something like: "Finish him first or quit! (Type /leave to stop the chasing)"
If he's successful and kills the target before the countdown finishes it could show something like: "Mission completed - I'll see you soon!" or he automatically asks him to kill another one.
