25 cm of snow here, it has been snowing all day and now it's -12 outside. I was about to go out but as soon as I opened the door I changed my mind

What are you trying to say?

Well, many people were speaking about how cold this winter is going to be (coldest in 1000 years). It was quite a sensation.
Now I've read an article which totally denies that.

Lol, in Liverpool I see clothes lines have like a cm of snow on top of them. If it's that bad (or good) in Liverpool it must be crazy down south, since we often get the light end of it.

Winter is December, January and February, January being the coldest month being right in the middle.

And it HAS been VERY cold so far. A LOT colder than usual.
