Well where I live it was 5 degrees centigrade this morning and liquid kept re-freezing on my windscreen.

And according to my trusty weather forecast AccuWeather I will be getting snow before the start of December, so in Autumn still.

So, dappa, I doubt it will be as severe as -20 you're right. And in countries like Serbia, -20 is flip-flops, t-shirt and shorts weather. But certainly where I live, last year was the worse winter we had during my lifetime and looks like this winter could be worse. They reckon we will have snow during 4 different months of the year in South East England this year. So i would certainly get prepared I plan on going to sweden for a holiday so I'll be getting winter gear anyway.

That weather forecast is also generous on temperature. For example for today it says High of 9 and Low of 6. But it was 5 degrees at about 9.50am this morning

I think by christmas it will be getting to -7 most evenings, which is the weather New York usually gets, not South East England.
