Evading Death

Well you said it's against the rules to use commands to avoid death / fighting regardless of whether you shot back or whatever (I know that).

But what if you're not using commands to escape a fight or have no intention to fight, but for example you see a minigame pop up and you type /sawnoff but someone has just shot you (before you press enter) and you don't shoot back or anything, you just avoid the bullets until the minigame picks you up? Would you be breaking rules then? If that's the case then that'd just be punishing people for typing too slow.

And I'm not talking about by the ship, if you don't want to fight then be on the ship, not off it. I'm talking about near spawn place near the LV police station or something.

I guess that's a bit of a grey area. It's impossible for a crewmember to tell whether they would be trying to get away from the gunfire or just go there because they want to join it. /sawnoff is a bit of a bad example, you might as well shoot back then :P But I see your point.. I think the best would be to judge such things by situation. Like if someone has been evading a lot it would be obvious that it will be like that again. But on the other hand it would be rather silly to signup for a minigame whilst being shot (is that even possible?).

Well I think if you shoot back it gets cancelled (at least /taxi does).

But if you mean is it possible to make that mistake (try to join a minigame while getting shot), yeah. If you try to join and while you type /sawnoff if you can't type fast or you can only use one finger at that moment (sticky fingers?) then someone (who has spawn weapons) spawns near you and shoots you before you press enter then you've just used a command that avoids death.

But yeah I guess in that instance it's just a matter of judgement and reputation. If Future does it then you can believe he did mean to death evade, but if I did it then unless you're someone like MacSto who's new and has never heard of me then you can believe I meant to join the sawnoff game.

Exactly. It can't be defined 100%, judgement is they keyword.

Using any kind of command to avoid death is never allowed, whatever the circumstances.

I abuse that shit all the time, especially ship laming. Some asshole even kicked me for that once.
