Okay, so lately so many gentlement cry about my ping and when I explain them that I live very far away, they reply as "it's not the problem, it's your shitty pc"... Well, here's my specs and figure out me something on how to fix it, smartpeeps.

Dual-Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz (2 CPUs), ~ OCed 3.70 GHz
Memory:
6048MB
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 250 1GB
Operating System:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)

Down Speed:
2 Mbpits (about 150-200 KB/s down speed)
Up Speed:
50KB/s - 100 KB/s

Draw Distance - 5/16
Frame Limiter - On (/fpslimit 50)
Widescreen - On
Visual FX Quality - Very High
Anti Aliasing - 3
Resolution - 1680 x 1050 x 32

I use WiMAX broadband connection, does that have to do anything with it? And I've heard Win7 causes more ping, is that true? If so, how to fix?

I've also made the settings to the lowest I could get to but I get the same ping 180-300 and sometimes even worse like 500ms. No one uses my connection btw.

When I hold F5, the down speed is somewhere between 0.6 KB/s and 1.0 KB/s... What if I was able to make it use the whole connection speed? I mean 150 KB/s? Wouldn't that decrease the ping?

The only program I keep running is mIRC. I get the same ping while it's closed too.

If everything fails, I'll consider switching to DSL connection which is a major downgrade but if it benefits me, then yeah. What's your thoughts about it?

Ping is mostly caused by how far you live from the server. Afaik the server is located in The Netherlands or Germany and you live in Dubai (right?) so thats a pretty long distance. So a 180-300 ping is pretty normal, I can't really explain the 500ms spikes though. Maybe someone else is using the same connection as you?

Also, a laggy pc will not affect your ping.

Well there's no such setting as slow, it's low and Spilot you don't FPS lag it's your internet i think it's due to your internet speed and your distance from the server if someone get's upset then just ignore it and keep playing.

And ping is based on how far the server is from your house, so dont worry. Let people cry about your ping, if you cant kill a person with a high ping, you arent good. Simple

I might be a bit harsh here. I've said in my post that I have made all the game's settings to the lowest n' I still get the same ping, that proves you couldn't/didn't read the whole post and just posted without knowing the content.
As for the 'PS', I clearly asked the reader (you) to post solutions and thoughts about it, not to hint me with a :p smiley (gets on my nerve) like if I'm going to chase you for the answer, though I certainty won't.

So to Σ it all up- I either ignore or buy a ticket to Europe. Oh well.
