Being jailed for crashing

When i read in the changelog "and the SaveInfo handler now supports jail." i expect people who were jailed before crashing end up back in jail.
What i didnt expect was, when i was driving my motocycle, ramping around over LVP, just fooling around, then crashing and rejoining and ending up in jail. Is this supposed to happen? Being punished for crashing even if you weren't jailed before you crashed? Or is it a bug?

There have been updates to the gamemode every week, since January 20. Look it up on the frontpage yourself. Your comment was very disrespectful Future, and it would be a wise idea to either shut up or use your brains before posting (or if you're already doing that, then I suggest following my first advise). The way you're going now, you're only making a fool out of yourself.
