Definitely recommend for anyone on a budget.

Depends what sort you want, for example in ear, gaming, closed back etc..the ones mentioned by Danny are good for musicians who record songs, as many rappers on YouTube seem to have them and I've also been recommended them by a friend because they don't let out noise, and you can't hear noise from outside either, yeah I'm not good with the technical terms xD
But yeah whatever fits your purpose, if they work and your satisfied, then that's all that matters 8)

I use a Sennheiser HD 598 which I'm very pleased with. The audio quality is really good, they're comfortable around my ears and they look good as well. For traveling, I have noise-cancelling headphones from Creative, but I'm not entirely sure about the model type right now.

You know that's a reference headphone right? Grado is somewhat flat on the low end.

I am also looking for a full headphone, own a Reloop for DJ'ing and the Nuforce NE-700X in-ear. Both are more bass oriented.
Purchased a reference in ear from meelec last year, didn't like those, too flat for my taste.

Excuse the bump but I'm looking for a similair quality of phones to target's (with a similair budget obviously) but I'm really not keen on in ear's as the ones I currently have I find incredibly uncomfortable putting in my ear canal, not to mention the ear wax.

The Hd 598's appeal to me but as I'm going to being using them 90% of the time for travelling on the train/bus are they suitable for that?
