I don't think that many people actually listen for footsteps. It's more of a shoot on sight sort of game.

Not really. If I don't have my music on, I always listen around for them.
You'd be quite impressed on how handy it is, to be honest.
You cannot hear anyone if they're crouched, though.
Also, this is really handy when playing Promod, for instance.

I don't know what it is though but I'm really more into Promod than regular gameplay.
COD4's regular movement is too slow in my opinion. Promod is a tad faster.
Well, it isn't really faster. It just seems so.
It does increase the gameplay for me, then.

AK-47 + Silencer

Afaik the silencer takes away a bit of the damage on the AK47. Seeing you are using Overkill anyway(so you show up on UAV), replace it with something else(RDS/ACOG/iron).

Silencers drop damage output quite dramatically. (from 40-30 to 40-20) And, for some reason using a Red Dot Sight on that weapon has the same effect, so I suggest you either use an ACOG or just use the ironsights.

I used to only use RDS or ACOG sights, but on Mw2 I've started using Ironsights a lot more. Leaves room for an attachment, and some ironsights are just awesome <3

The only gun I haven't used Irons on in MW2 was the FAL.
Because that piece of shit toy has the worst things ever.

Barret 50 call is fun at moments, to spray around & hope you hit someone . I'm trying to get better with the standard sniper & standard scope though .

FAL isn't that bad.

In fact, when you have an RDS on the FAL, the bullet actually hits a bit below- and to the right of the actual dot.
Although I have to admit, I'm using the holographic on the FAL myself
