What Earth Would Look Like With Rings Like Saturn

Check out some of the creator's other videos; there is some really neat stuff.

Pretty interesting, but i believe the things that'll be changed in Earth would be the climate. also i wonder, in space we tend to float freely, but once you get closer to earth, gravity pulls you. imagine that thing being pulled into earth by gravity lol wow

For that to happen the ring would have to decrease in area, resulting in an increase in mass. Which would put it under pressure, I don't think the Earth's gravity is strong enough to over come the pressure and mass-to-area ratio which would be required.

No. Decreasing the size of something does not increase its mass. The mass to area ratio and pressure has nothing to do with it (there is negligible pressure in space).

The reason why things float freely in space (that are close to earth like the space station) is because they are in orbit. They are circling earth fast enough that the centripetal force trying to make it fly off is equal to the pull of gravity. You can think of centripetal force as the string that holds an attached ball in a circle when you spin it above your head.

If rings did exist around earth like they are shown in the video they would be in orbit, just like the space station, circling earth.
