Lol at criticsing our transfer policy when Liverpool have wasted so much money in the past 18 months, we get linked with dozens of players every transfer window, much as Liverpool do so there's bound to be some crossing over of potential "targets". As to the finishing above Liverpool thing it was a tounge in cheek remark imitating something Rafa Benitez said about guarenteeing a top four finish the first time we secured CL football 3 years ago - although I stand by it  . The one player I wish we had got was Berbatov, despite his acromonious departure.
