5 minutes to go until kickoff! Liverpool vs Sunderland! We have a pretty strong lineup and it's been a real long time since I've looked at the bench and smiled.


Starting XI: Reina, Flannagan, Carra, Agger, Enrique, Henderson, Adam, Lucas, Downing, Suarez, Carroll

Subs: Doni, Meireles, Kuyt, Spearing, Ngog, Kelly, Robinson.


If we lose with a squad like that then there's something seriously wrong.

I'd have liked Aquilani to get a start though. And Suárez just came back from the Copa America, so I'm surprised he has started ahead of Kuyt, who hasn't had a tournament this summer. I'm guessing Kenny wants to use this to warm him up as well as get a win on the season opener.

Nevertheless I have full confidence in Liverpool to get a win today. Sunderland have done some spending as well though, but I don't think they'll trouble us too much.

Lol, okay, that didn't go as well as I thought it would.

Liverpool 1 - 1 Sunderland

Liverpool were dominant in the first half, in the second half Sunderland were dominant. In the second half Suárez and Lucas got tired, and if I was Kenny I would have took Lucas off and brought Meireles on, but instead he subbed Suárez for Meireles and I don't remember him taking Lucas off. I would have took Lucas off for Meireles and maybe take Suárez off for N'Gog (not an ideal sub) or for Spearing and change the formation a bit and have Carroll up front on his own.

Or even better put Kuyt on first (he would have scored the penalty that Suárez missed) and then put Suárez on in the second half to give him a run-out instead of rushing him in.

Still, we got a point (would rather 3), we never lost and we can look forward to the Arsenal game. Although I don't fancy our chances, especially at the Emirates, but it'll be a decent game.

lol yeray seriosly u need to stop thinkin all ur players are unstopable i meen like u play in spanish league ? borin league no entertainment except barce v real madrid ... u probs say messi is best in the world to  but he plays in spanish league ? if he cud do what ronaldo did an come to the premiership an score over 40 goals in a season then believe it  messi is amazin but just sayin ... ur in a borin league least in the prem we have differint shit every year .. its mainly chelsea an united fightin for it but u seen last season arsenal were there now city liverpool arsenal united chelsea maybe tottenham doubt it tho cud be fightin for the prem .... 6 teams goin for it ... not just 2 like madrid an barcelona

downing . adam . carroll , reina , carragher , agger , .. just cuz carragher old dont meen he aint got it he showed last season he has wen he kept torres out all match ..  downing adam carroll may not be world class but they are all english players who can adapt together adam is scotish but its still english downing had a good game against sunderland he showed what he can do .. but who have u got?? i cant think of a top class player now tbh at arsenal nasri hell go
