Fuck DELL...!
#1
As you know my PC's GFXs cards died, so I decided to upgrade to two GTX cards. Although it also means I need a new PSU, I explained to DELL I need my fucking PC, I am a "working" "student". They said the earliest the new 1000W PSU will be next week. They took my old half working cards away, leaving me with a PC that doesn't start and two irresistibly awesome cards...which I cannot use.

The lesson of the day is, BUILD YOUR OWN COMPUTERS.

I am writing this on a laptop with what seems to be 512kb of ram...gf

It's not even XP capable :/

Also, don't EVER let your PC get to hot, it killed BOTH my graphics cards.

Anyway, I told DELL if they leave my PC not working for another day, I will take legal action >:)

Now magically they have found a PSU and will get it in tomoz.

Funny how those parts just pop up out of nowhere.

Dell are way over priced... You're basically paying £200 just for the name and the 20~ minute job they take setting the parts up, not to mention all these updates you're doing.

You should have just scrapped the computer when the graphics cards first died and custom built a better one for half the price.

As long as it will fit in the case, i believe you can put any graphics card in a Dell PC. So my suggestion is to do the upgrade yourself. What are the specs of the powersupply and which graphics card did you have?

he got 2 GTX 295 which means he needs some hardcore power supply (altho 1000W is exaggerated)

I haz a 750W PSU, Dell being the fucktards they truly are, says that it needs more power.

I MEAN THE GUY WHO CAME TO FIX MY PC PHONED DELL TECH SUPPORT BECAUSE HE FORGOT HOW TO INSTALL A FUCKING CARD.

atleast its all free (except £299 for the card upgrades).

And next time I will build a PC. But at the moment its cheaper to upgrade.
