I really can't choose which one to get.
iPod touch would be great for when I go on holiday, or go on long journeys, but in a year, I'm at home 80 odd percent of the time, so I'd get more use out of a PS3.
I love gaming, but I don't have enough money to buy loads of games to play. I mean, I can get some new games whenever I do have some money, but not just pop to the store whenever I want and buy a ton of them. Whereas, even though most of them are crap, there are lots of free games for the iPod touch, but the graphics aren't great.
They both store music and video, the only difference is that the iPod touch is portable. Oh and the little matter of having to sync all the files to your iPod through iTunes first, but meh. The PS3 has a bigger hard drive, but knowing me, they'll both take a long time to fill up .
They're both around the same price in the UK, with the PS3 just a little cheaper, but its about 30/40 euros cheaper in France...
I'm pretty stuck, and I don't know which one I should choose.

I've had an iPod touch for a few months now and I don't regret buying it.
The only bad thing about the touch is the battery usage, it can be drained easily if you're using apps constantly that require the screen on, but listening to music -- or an application that streams music -- won't drain out as fast.
You should only really get the iPod if you're into music and portability, if you prefer playing games go for the PS3.

There's a few good games that are going to be released onto the iPod, red alert 3 for instance.
And if it's the cost of applications that worries you, you can always jailbreak it.

PS3, it can do much more, and since you're home most of the time it makes more sense.
How do I know? I have both.

PS3, especially if you're ever gonna buy blu-ray movies.
I have a PS3 and an Ipod Classic, I'd actually recommend getting the classic over getting an ipod touch- not only do you save a lot of money, but I find touch-screen technology (eg phones) to be annoying and actually less convenient than a regular ipod (or phone).
Is a PS3 + Ipod Classic out of the question?
I don't use my PS3 often, I only own the one game (and have played/owned 3 games on it), and basically use it simply as a dvd player. Depends on where your interests lie, if you're willing to play many games (and buy them), or watch blu-ray. It's very likely that you'll use your ipod more than the PS3, but I'd recommend an ipod classic over the ipod touch for the above reasons.

Well, I've never really wanted an iPod before the touch. I think it was the touch screen and many applications and stuff that appealed to me, or I'd have just stayed with my MP3 player. I don't think theres much chance of me changing to a classic.
I think at the moment, what I want to do the most is get a PS3 with the money I have in hand now, and sell my second bike and get the iPod with the money I get from that x]
Thanks for your input everyone.
