a newer type of 3d, requires good graphics card and really good monitor. Much less color error and light effects, i think it is similar to the polarized thing.
3D display is a monitor/tv which works @ 120 Hz, simply said. Not very expensive, but more then a regular monitor/tv.
So if you buy Nvidia 3D Vision glasses, each eye has 60 Hz, and combined you have some 3D view.
