Upgrading... Help!
#1
Hey,

I'm thinking about upgrading my PC so I'm prepared for Windows 7 and so I can play high-resolution games which I can't play at the moment...

Here's my current system spec (Don't laugh at it ;():

CPU
Intel® Pentium® D CPU 2.80GHz

CPU Speed
2.80 GHz

Operating System
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, 32-bit (Build Service Pack 16001)

Video card
NVIDIA GeForce 7500 LE (GeForce 7500 LE), 256 RAM, DirectX Version 10.0

Sound Card
Speakers (Realtek High Definition)

DVD drive
LITE-ON DVDRW SHM-165H6S ATA Device (This doesn't work at all.. _O-)

So I guess it's probably a better idea to buy a whole new PC... or? :P :D

Greetz,

Probably better off getting a new computer altogether.

Because I would upgrade CPU, Graphics Card, RAM, Motherboard.

Which is basicly the whole computer.

Yep, it'll be worth it to just build a whole new comp.

Yeah, I'd rather build a computer, because I believe that's cheaper than buying a new PC? If so, what do you recommend? :D Don't worry about budget xD

One of the new AMD Phenom II's or one of the Intel i7's, personally I would go for AMD but its up to you.

For the graphics card, it kinda depends on budget, if you got a huge budget you can get something like GTX 285/295 or HD 4870x2/4890.

I'd go with the Core i7. AMD has to come out with something big before I start recommending them again.
