Hello there, it's me again. The one who gave you LVP Radio, the 4th of the "Post your photo" threads, the Now Playing-thread, Hangman and a lot more. Now I'm here with a new idea, which I would like to hear your opinion on - LVP Debate.

- Can you please explain more about LVP Debate?
Of course I can! Basically, once every week or so a debate would be held. The subjects of discussion would be LVP related or regarding current happenings or important questions around the world. Debates that do not require fast response will be best to hold here on the forums, while faster debates will be better to hold on IRC. In the open debates, everyone will be able to say things - but the idea is to have an IRC bot that controls everything and allows people to speak one at a time.

- What's that "IRC" you speak of?
It's a type of chat protocol where you join channels and talk to the people in them. It's quite well suited for debates! See more here.

Will this 'debate' have it's own irc channel, like #lvp.debate ? And will the player's opinions and ideas actually do anything? Like on TV when you see people having debates about things, people give ideas, and others agree, but that idea doesn't happen as though it was never thought of.

@Munch: Yes, there will be a special IRC channel (#lvp.debate) for that. I can't answer whether anything being said in the debates would be implemented/changed in LVP, but I'm sure it's possible if the idea is any good.

@Mike: I've been thinking about that too, one of the intentions with this topic is to see whether there are "serious" people interested in participating.

sounds kinda fun to listen this in lvp radio (kind of like talk show) but the irc one doesnt seem much appealing to me..

Okay guys, thanks for your input. I'm going to see tomorrow how the voting is, but as it seems now this isn't getting enough positive response to be worth starting up. Final decision tomorrow or Sunday.

Suggistion: If participants are willing, this should be done not only in text format in IRC, but over teamspeak as well.
