Temp mod suggestion

Right, before i start. Are temp-mods allowed to ban players? (If not just close the topic)

Anyway. I've been thinking. What if there was a command for admins when a mod or 'temp mod' bans someone. (using /ban [id] [reason] ingame) if real admins ingame at the time were shown the saying 'temp moderator **** has selected **** for a ban. Press /y or /n to select or reject the ban request.

Now, athough this may take up around 30 seconds of a normal admins time, I still think is very effective. It means we can temp more plaryers in 2.90 with less risk of them being ban happy.

He means are they supposed to, and not when a permanent crew member is in-game.

anyway I disagree with this. most of the time, temp mods are made when an admin is leaving and no other crew is ingame. that being said it's obvious why this wouldn't be a great idea.

but either way, when it comes to banning cheaters... players don't want to be patient (and they shouldnt have to be), cheaters need to be banned quickly.

if permanent crew are in game they shouldn't ban, yes.
If permanent crew are not in game, they can ban for cheats and whatnot, but if it comes to banning someone for other various reasons... they probably should try to contact the crew before doing so. Try typing /crew Hey can I ban Nickname for Reason?
That's probably the best thing to do if your a responsible temp mod...

If I'm in-game and I just temp someone, I mostly just check cheaters with them, and then let them ban.
A good temp mod would probably ask too if he's allowed to ban (if it's an actual cheater- at least they do with me).

Anyway, a handy thing when you're temporary of course, is taking a screenshot or something.

I don't think this should be implented.. Doesn't seem really needed.

Agreed.

With perm crew ingame > No.
Without perm crew ingame > Yes.

So when you get temp and the admin leaves, sure you can ban.

@Griffin: Not sure if tempcrew is able to /crew actually. But if they can, indeed.

I think /crew actually works when temping.
