How is offering the same as asking? They both have completely different definitions.
If you ask somebody for something, you want it of them.
If somebody offers you something, they wan't you to have it.

This question was really made into a big deal because someone PM'ed an Administrator saying "I can help you if you need me to. I've already been Mod yesterday," which is what most of the Crew considers as asking to be Mod. Fireburn insisted that this was just an offer to help, while cloakster and myself said it was blatantly asking to be Temp'ed again. So, in this case, it was asking, but in other cases, it truly isn't. Everyone happy now that they get where this all came from? No? Too damned bad.
