Second, if you really don't have the ability to get one, then you should at least use manual settings on your current camera, because the pictures are taken with high ISO, and that automatically drops the meaning of quality. Plus, manual settings allow you to adjust shutter speed and focus balance to get an ideal photo. And third, if there's no manual settings, at least try taking a photo without flash for example, or any other setting which you are able to adjust.

nah i don't think i'm gonna buy a "professional" camera as am not going to specialize in photography, these are just "me being an amature" photos, and for what u said about ISO, am not using a high ISO, only 80 and i didn't use the flash in them, plus my camera doesn't allow manual focus, it's just a $100 camera, and... thanks for the criticism, i really appreciate it ;).

Anyone else try making a landscape or other photo into a fake miniature by using a process called tilt-shift? I played around with it today using a stock photo of St. Louis and this is the result.

Did it with video a little while back. It's quite hard, you have to get really high for it to work :(

Are you referring to Depth of field? Focusing? I can't really tell if that is photo-chop but if you want to make that effect you must have a nice fade and a little bit of sharpening to the focused areas, and you want the blur to go around the building and get blurrier with distance.
