To put it simply:

C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas

They're there. Or, you can use Fraps. That combines video recording and taking screenshots into one app - and saves to a folder of your choice. It also lets you change the quality of the outputted photos (I think).

It saves them in there aswell.

the free version of fraps recordsvideo in .avi format (300MB/minute) and saves screen shots in .bmp (3-5mb/foto)
if you have the serial (dont know how....  :D google for serial fraps  :D you can change the outputtype (mpeg and others)

I use F8 the most, just because it is easy, when I need an high resalision picture, i use snagIT because you can ajust a lot of things, and it is easy to use.
