My mom has HTC Desire and it runs out of battery in every 10-12 hours I guess you have all the stuff running in the background aswell.

Well it wasnt that much of a problem, but nowadays I stay connected to the internet because I am using WhatsApp (google it). That, or WhatsApp itself is eating the battery.
