So, a /setcolor or so would be nice maybe.
I see your point, but did all the mods and admins wannted to be orange and yellow?
I hope you can see what i am getting at, i'm just saying the VIPs would be recognised just likethe mods and admins

Who doesn't want to be yellow? :+ (admins can change their colour while ingame anyways >:) )

and yeah, a /setcolour command would be cool, but you should only be able to use it every 10 minutes or so, and of course there should be a pricetag on it too :P

Giving every VIP a separate color imo is a bad idea simply because there are too many, A /setcolor command would be useful for 2.x though, maybe even a menu could show with a list of colors.

Mods and admins are there to be recognized, they have a duty to do, whereas VIP's don't ;)

hmm instead of /setcolour perhaps you can go with the rest of the server command patter.
I've always been thinking of things like /my stats    why not /my colour ?
It'd help move the player side more like the admin command side and make the server feel ever more organized.

Aye, this is what I was thinking when I first read this.

VIPs should stop crying for VIP-only features -- I personally would want people to donate because they want to help out -- otherwise it's like paying for a lifetime membership of the premium club. Regular players would just be alienated even more. A colour for VIPs is useless, as how does that help anyone? Every player should be setting a good example for the rest, not just the VIPs -- that argument is invalid. A /setcolour would open the doors to abuse, such as mimicking the colour of gangs.

And dab -- why do we need to be organized like so? That's simply creating more ranks, creating the illusion you must donate in order to work your way up the ranks and become a moderator or an administrator -- when that isn't the case.

In a nutshell -- accept you donated to help out LVP, and not for your own good (I hope). The majority of LVP players are non-VIP, and they shouldn't be pushed around with those who've used their wallets to get features. Before long we'll have free money for VIPs if we start on this track, and it's really really not necessary.

This topic reminds me of this suggestion: http://forum.sa-mp.nl/index.php?topic=10786.0

Er that's not what I was saying. I'm simply saying that its easier to remember commands when they're organized like that. yea, the average (or even vip player) might not have that many commands to remember, but heck it makes the server look less thrown together if the commands all match the same layout/template. For example, the gang commands. /gang info ? You changed it there, it use to be /ganginfo. I'm just saying, making all our commands into a universal layout could definitely help things look a bit more professional.

Oh wait, this is 3.0. :S I was thinking this was the 2.X one. :S Ahem.
